Even some other medical personnel don’t know what we do besides draw blood. Many people don’t stay in the field bc they’re underpaid and go on to be PAs or Doctors and some nurses bc they get paid way more. Shout out to all the nurses tho I love working with you guys. I looked at this too fast and read “Why nurses should braid more” and be so lost. Where I work part time, white male nurses have higher rates per hour. The hiring Gods for some reason, undervalued women nurses. Some female seasoned nurses are upset after finding out they make significantly less than a new male nurse. So yeah, the wage gap isn’t a myth.
