I spanked my son 2-3 times when he was young and it was enough that from then on all I had to do was give the look. I think I was blessed because I get whoopings all the time growing up. Lol, I wasn’t as smart as my son. It teaches kids consequences to their actions. Teenage years are the worst, I just kept reminding myself that my son was hormonal, trying to find himself, and he was the sweet little boy I had held and cuddled once before lol.
