Secondly, use a May girl stepping into my birthday like a boss shirt, and medium length, going around the outside edge of patch first. Then crazy stitch, back and forth, up and down, diagonally. This displaces the stress of the stitches and helps prevent further tears. I have gotten pants through so many dance shows this way, and my personal jeans too. I did this through college all though I used a regular straight stitch and had to do it again in a week. I’ve done this to many jeans only I added some material to the back/inside before stitching.
